falling behind again

Categories: general » jamie @ 7:45 pm

anytime something somewhat eventful happens, i think to myself, “dont forget to blog something simple”. but of course, that never seems to happen. So, lets recap! Yes, I know, I suck, there are no pictures.

Wedding Bells!
Joel and I flew to Arizona to celebrate his first cousin, Hillary’s wedding. Not just Arizona, but Snowflake Arizona. You ever seen the movie, “Fire in the Sky“? Well it took place in a little town called Snowflake, Arizona. Just so happens, Joel’s aunt lives out there. about 3 hours NE of Phoenix AZ.

It was a very cute ceremony, i was the only asian person in existence (so it seemed). I wish the best of luck to Nick and Hillary and hope all their dreams come true.

BBQ Bliss
On April 2, 2005, 940 Hillcrest Street #2 in smelly El Segundo, we had a festive bbq. Those in attendance: Joel, Myself, Bryan, Kien, Chad, Sean, Pip, Maryanne, Cheeto, Diane, Will, Ryan, Erik, Josh, Sam, Dave, Nian, and Mr. Christian Dell. There was a ton of food and drink to go around.

Quite possibly the best part of the evening occurred around 1:30am. Christian introduced us to a game of … pick up the box with your teeth! Everyone has to pick up a box and lift it with their mouth. Only their feet can touch the ground. No hands, no knees, just your feet. We actually got down to the very bottom of the box. That’s right. Just a flat box bottom. In the end, Kien, Erik and Joel (of all people), were able to pick up the bottom piece.

CBA Media Marketing
As most of you know, I am working for a company called CBA Media Marketing. Our California offices are located in Downtown Culver City. I am the Lead Web Producer. I’m working with Erik again, which is delightful. We work under great leadership and a very supportive manager. We have the opportunity to actually utilize our skillsets instead of being limited, cutoff, abused, mistreated, taken advantaged of and ultimately lied to as we had previously experienced.

BTW, if you are reading this, you know who you are. We were the best team you were ever going to have. This is as good as you will ever be. I wish you the best of luck, you taught me a valuable lesson… it was personal, and this is business.

World of Warcraft
We’re finally our own guild. Sam has resurrected the name “The Rabble“. This time the leadership is not a collective of neutral individuals but rather a more exact leadership. I’m in the process of building out our entire CMS which consists of a lot of crap. Unfortunately I haven’t been playing at all because my home internet is fucked up beyond control so instead i work on the CMS when I have time. We’re still on Tichondrius.

Acura Integra GS-R
Yes. and Yes. Huh? thats right. Xerox, hurry up!

Hiyama -out!
