yah i looked into this, evidently a few ppl with MT are also getting spammed. erik (sweedish) has 2 friends who are MT users and were having spam issues.

i was reading through the WP forums to find out if there was a fix for the spam issue, apparently, spam bots target the file wp-comments.php and thats how they can mass spam WP users. not sure how theyre doing it to MT users. the fix is basically to rename the file and to reference the new filename.

i havent done this yet, but the spam has almost stopped, i got like maybe 2 total.

How the hell did they find your site to spam it? My blog hasn't gotten one spam post yet (other then joel's). Might want to see if wordpress has a plugin to require a simple math problem challenge, or image challenge to post.
